These new works are a combination of the artists passion for
mountains and inspiration from the Art Nouveau posters of
around the 1930s. The paintings hope to capture the romance
of the Lakeland scenery in exciting bright colour. Nicholas
is passionate about climbing and walking, and of the experience
of being in the hills and mountains. Through direct contact
with the landscape he aims to reflect the fleeting effect
of light in bold ways.
